Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Dental Receptionist will be the first point of contact for our patients. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of our clinic. The successful candidate will manage front desk operations, handle administrative tasks, and provide excellent customer service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the clinic.
- Answer phone calls promptly and courteously, addressing patient inquiries and scheduling appointments.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
Appointment Management:
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using the clinic's management software.
- Maintain an organized and updated appointment calendar.
- Send appointment reminders to patients via phone, email, or text message.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate patient records, including updating personal and insurance information.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and handle billing inquiries.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient flow and effective communication.
Customer Service:
- Provide a high level of customer service, addressing patient concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
- Handle patient complaints or issues with professionalism and seek solutions promptly.
Compliance and Confidentiality:
- Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the clinic.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Undergraduate degree in any relevant discipline.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a dental or medical setting.
- Experience with dental practice management software is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using office software, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with a typical workweek of 40 hours (or less).
- Weekend shifts may be required.
