Duties

• Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
• Serve meals to residents or patients with friendly and professional customer service
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
• Buss tables, clean dishes, and support the overall sanitation of the dining environment
• Follow food safety protocols and maintain proper food storage procedures
• Support dietary staff by helping with meal portioning and plating
• Contribute to a sanitary environment through routine cleaning and sanitation tasks
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
• Support the dietary department in adhering to dietary restrictions and special meal requests
• Engage with residents or patients positively, fostering a warm and respectful dining atmosphere

Experience

• Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable
• Culinary or food handling experience demonstrating knowledge of food preparation and safety practices
• Familiarity with food service operations including serving, bussing, cleaning, and sanitation procedures
• Experience working in dietary departments or with dietetics is a plus
• Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal schedules and responsibilities
• Excellent customer service skills to interact courteously with residents or patients
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices in kitchen environments
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team focused on delivering quality nutrition care

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30.0 per week
