Duties
- Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Serve meals to residents or patients with friendly and professional customer service
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
- Buss tables, clean dishes, and support the overall sanitation of the dining environment
- Follow food safety protocols and maintain proper food storage procedures
- Support dietary staff by helping with meal portioning and plating
- Contribute to a sanitary environment through routine cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Support the dietary department in adhering to dietary restrictions and special meal requests
- Engage with residents or patients positively, fostering a warm and respectful dining atmosphere
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable
- Culinary or food handling experience demonstrating knowledge of food preparation and safety practices
- Familiarity with food service operations including serving, bussing, cleaning, and sanitation procedures
- Experience working in dietary departments or with dietetics is a plus
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal schedules and responsibilities
- Excellent customer service skills to interact courteously with residents or patients
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices in kitchen environments
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team focused on delivering quality nutrition care

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
