Realaway is a rapidly growing short-term rental and hospitality company with a portfolio of vacation rentals, waterfront cabins, apartments, and unique accommodations. As we continue to expand our properties and strengthen our brand presence, we are bringing our social media and content creation efforts in-house to better showcase our destinations, guest experiences, and the lifestyle that makes staying with Realaway unique.
The Digital Content & Social Media Manager is a highly creative, hands-on professional who will be responsible for developing and executing Realaway's social media strategy while creating engaging visual content that showcases our properties, guest experiences, and brand. This individual will own our organic social media presence from concept through publication, combining content creation, editing, community engagement, and analytics to drive brand awareness, audience growth, and direct bookings. We are less concerned with formal photography or videography credentials and more interested in finding someone who can consistently create engaging content that resonates with audiences and authentically captures the Realaway experience.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Must be available to travel to company properties in Fort Walton Beach and surrounding areas for content creation, photography, and videography approximately 2–3 times per week.

STRATEGY & MANAGEMENT
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, end-to-end social media strategy across all major platforms.
- Manage the content calendar, scheduling, and daily publishing.
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics to continuously optimize organic reach and engagement.
CONTENT CREATION & EDITING
- Regularly visit our Fort Walton Beach properties to capture content that highlights our properties, amenities, guest experiences, and destinations.
- Create engaging photos, videos, reels, stories, and other social media content optimized for each platform.
- Edit and publish content across social media channels while maintaining Realaway's brand voice and identity.
- Develop trend-native, platform-specific content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other relevant channels.
- Stay current on social media trends and identify opportunities to increase engagement and visibility.
COMMUNITY & BRAND GROWTH
- Drive community engagement by actively interacting with followers, responding to comments, and building relationships online.
- Create targeted content campaigns to support new property launches, seasonal initiatives, and booking promotions.
- Establish and maintain a distinct, engaging, and welcoming brand voice across all digital touchpoints.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Must be local to Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola, or Panama City Beach, Florida, or willing to commute 2–3 times per week for on-site content creation.
- Proven professional experience managing social media accounts for a business, brand, or organization.
- Proven success creating engaging social media content and growing audiences across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating content creation, storytelling, audience engagement, and social media growth.
- Professional photography or videography experience is not required. We are primarily looking for individuals who have demonstrated success creating engaging social media content, building audiences, and telling compelling stories.
- Candidates who have achieved strong results using iPhone or other mobile-based content creation tools are encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of social media analytics, engagement metrics, and audience growth strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly autonomous and capable of taking projects from concept through publication with minimal oversight.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple properties, campaigns, and posting schedules simultaneously.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Experience within hospitality, travel, tourism, real estate, lifestyle, or influencer marketing environments.
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Later, or similar content creation and editing platforms.
- Experience creating high-quality content using professional camera equipment, mobile devices, audio capture tools, and effective lighting techniques.
- Deep expertise in the algorithms, trends, and best practices of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Strong eye for aesthetics, branding, and visual storytelling.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel locally to company properties 2–3 times per week.
- Ability to carry and operate photography, videography, and related production equipment as needed.
