The Director of Revenue Management owns the Hotel’s total revenue strategy and delivery, with primary focus on Rooms revenue through the optimization of demand, pricing, channel mix, segmentation, and partnerships. He/She leads cross‑functional revenue governance and leverages the Hotel's revenue systems to maximize revenue, profitability and long‑term asset value.
Our expectations:
- Analyze demand drivers and develop annual revenue strategies and tactical plans focused on Rooms with strategic influence on ancillary revenue.
- Establish and maintain segment and channel strategies, aligning to hotel business needs, budget targets, and group direction.
- Optimize performance across direct channels and third‑party platforms (OTAs, GDS, wholesalers and other distribution partners).
- Ensure rate parity, monitor disparities, and implement corrective actions with urgency.
- Set and periodically review the hotel’s pricing architecture, room‑type differentials, discount structures etc.
- Deploy dynamic pricing windows, manage qualified discounting and balance high‑yield vs. base‑filler segments to protect shoulder periods.
- Monitor and review daily inventory and rate controls through key reports (booking pace, pickup/regrets, thresholds, segmentation, wash/cancel behaviour). Conduct deep‑dive analyses to diagnose trends, uncover opportunities, and shape revenue optimization recommendations.
- Produce daily pickup reports and weekly forecasts by market segment and day. Deliver monthly full PACE and STR reconciliation, aligning with budget and business plans.
- Track and present hotel performance vs. budget/forecast and vs. competitive set. Partner with Finance on variance insights and owner level reporting.
- Leverage loyalty programme data and member segmentation to refine member rate strategies, targeted offers, and repeat‑stay initiatives. Recommend opportunities to increase contribution through loyalty acquisition and engagement.
- Chair the Weekly Revenue Strategy Meeting to align Sales, Marketing, Reservations, Front Office and Finance.
- Drive clear decision‑making, communicate risks/opportunities, and ensure follow‑through on revenue actions.
Talent Profile
We are seeking a degree‑qualified revenue management professional with at least five years of progressive experience in hotel Revenue Management, ideally gained within a 5‑star or luxury international hotel or brand. You possess a strong analytical mindset, an expert command of numbers, and deep familiarity with hotel demand patterns, pricing behaviours, and segmentation dynamics.
You thrive on using pricing strategy, forecasting accuracy, and disciplined inventory control to drive business performance. Curious, commercially sharp, and detail‑oriented, you find fulfilment in uncovering insights from data, optimizing demand, and implementing strategies that materially lift profitability. You are confident in leading cross‑functional discussions, influencing stakeholders, and making evidence‑based decisions that balance revenue opportunities with guest experience and long‑term asset value.
