Disability Support Worker

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable support worker to assist an NDIS participant with autism. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in autism care, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping others thrive in their daily life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to a client on the autism spectrum
• Assist in teaching life skills and encouraging independence
• Offer consistent role modelling and mentoring
• Maintain clear and professional communication with the client and support team
• Ensure respectful, person-centred care at all times

Requirements

• Experience working with clients on the autism spectrum
• Strong understanding of autism and behavioural support
• Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Valid driver’s licence
• Availability for fixed shifts (morning and evening) 7 days a week
• Empathetic, patient, and professional attitude

Pay: $28.00 – $32.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
