Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide personal care and assistance to a client living with cerebral palsy. The role involves supporting the client's daily living needs, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing Assist with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment Support with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met Assist with medication reminders and basic health monitoring Provide companionship and emotional support Maintain a clean and safe living environment Document and report changes in the client’s condition or care needs Promote the client’s independence, choice, and dignity at all times Requirements: Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent (preferred) Previous experience supporting clients with cerebral palsy or similar conditions (preferred) Current First Aid and CPR certification NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle (preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others

Pay: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour
