Disability Support Worker

Seeking empathetic, passionate & experienced disability support worker for a non-verbal female participant with neurological deficits & ASD. Participant seeking support for personal cares, in-home supports & assistance with access to the community in Scarborough Region, QLD.

Must have prior experience for working with participants with high needs with mobility requirements, AT equipment's and personal care needs.

Be willing and able for work with strength's based and trauma informed approach in line with NDIA's guidelines.

Must have a reliable car with comprehensive insurance & roadside assistance.

Suitable candidates can be awarded above industry rates

Availability required for weekdays 7 AM to 7 PM (8 hours shifts).

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $36.75 – $64.25 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 38 per week

• Do you have strong driving skills and the willingness to provide transport in your own car to support participants for community access and attending appointments as needed?
• The role involves providing personal care (showering, dressing, toileting), in-home support (meal preparation, Feeding & light cleaning), and community access (appointments, transport, social activities). The participant is high needs & non-verbal, with neurological dysfunction & ASD. Do you have relevant experience, the required checks/certificates, and the flexibility to support the participant in these areas?

Education:

• Certificate I - IV (Preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• Working with Children Check (Preferred)
• National Police Certificate (Preferred)
• Driver Licence (Preferred)
