Support Worker (Casual position)

About the role

As a Disability Support Worker, your role will focus on providing compassionate support and facilitating engaging activities that enhance well-being.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living tasks such as personal care and meal preparation, while promoting community participation and social interaction. By cultivating a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment, you will help our participants flourish and achieve personal growth.

Participant Locations

· Ipswich – Wednesday’s 1pm to 6pm, plus travel

· Mount Crosby – Monday’s 11:30am to 6:30/7pm, Tuesday's 11:30am to 6:30/7pm, Friday’s 9am to 4:30pm

· Carindale – Monday’s, Thursday’s and every second Wednesday, split shifts for travel support

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience (can be lived) supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Trauma, Amputees and Chemical Sensitivities
• Someone who is calm, self-directed and reliable
• Committed to providing Family Centred Care
• Can recognise gaps, engage in critical self-reflection, and is committed to ongoing learning and growth
• Flexibility to pick up shifts if/when required

Support Worker Duties may include any of the following (but not limited to):

• Personal Care
• Domestic Assistance
• Assistance managing appointments, forms, paperwork, ect
• Establish and assist with desired activities.
• Community Access
• Shopping Assistance
• Transportation
• Cooking / Cleaning / Laundry

Mandatory Requirements

• Working with Children Blue Card
• NDIS Yellow Card
• First Aid and CPR Certification
• National Police check (No older than 3 months)
• Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
• Full Comprehensive Car Insurance (business)

Desirable Requirements

• Qualifications in Community Services, Disability Services, Youth Work and/or Family, Human Services highly regarded

Pay: $35.15 – $77.81 per hour
