Disability Support Worker (Casual)

client-specificAbout the Role:

Secured Plan is seeking fun, enthusiastic and hard-working support workers for our clients in Preston, Craigieburn, Williamstoem , and St Albans in VIC.

Our clients, living at home with different complex diagnoses including Cerebral Palsy, ASD , psychosocial disbility require additional support workers to join their team on a casual basis. Our ideal candidate would receive client-specific training with stable consistent hours.

Duties:

• Full assistance with personal care and manual handling, hoist transfer.
• Assisting and supporting our clients in their home
• Supporting the client in achieving their set goals for the day
• Providing true and authentic companionship to the client
• Accompanying the client for Shopping, meeting appointments, travel to community places.
• Household duties, general cleaning assistance and meal preparation.

The right candidate will need to meet the following criteria:

• Experience with providing personal care to clients with high needs - this includes bowel care and assistance with showering.
• Manual handling experience (using hoist machines)
• Must possess an approachable and calm demeanour, clear communication.
• MUST be pet friendly, someone who loves Dogs and Cats will get preference.
• Be proactive and take initiative.
• Be a reliable team player.
• Drives Licence with a clean record.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $34.00 – $63.00 per hour
