Job Summary

As a Dishwasher at Oakview Public House, you are essential to keeping our kitchen running efficiently and safely. You’ll maintain a clean, organized workspace and support the back-of-house team by ensuring dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly washed and ready for service. This is a great position for someone who works well independently, stays organized, and takes pride in contributing to a smooth operation.

Duties

• Operate the dish machine efficiently and safely throughout service.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and small equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of dish area, including sinks, floors, and garbage/recycling zones.
• Assist with basic kitchen cleaning tasks as needed (sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces).
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Help with organizing and putting away clean items in proper storage locations.
• Support kitchen staff during busy periods with light prep or restocking.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant environment is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to stay organized under pressure.
• Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help where needed.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
