Dishwasher/Busser

Job Summary
SAMBAL is a modern Indonesian bistro opening soon on The Danforth in Toronto. We are currently hiring a part-time Dishwasher/Busser to join our kitchen team. This position is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our food service, ensuring the kitchen remains clean and organized.

Duties

• Wash dishes, cookware, and utensils quickly and efficiently
• Clear and reset tables, keep the dining area tidy
• Take out garbage, recycling, and compost
• Help with janitorial tasks (sweeping, mopping, bathroom upkeep, etc.)
• Assist kitchen and front-of-house team as needed
• Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
• Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others as needed.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and management.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
