Job Description:

As a Line Cook, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, responsible for executing our menu with precision and passion. Working alongside talented chefs in a fast-paced kitchen environment, you will showcase your culinary skills and contribute to the creation of memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Execute food preparation tasks accurately and efficiently, following established recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards. This includes cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping seafood, vegetables, and other ingredients.

Cooking: Prepare a wide variety of dishes. Ensure that all dishes are cooked to perfection, paying close attention to timing, temperature, and presentation.

Station Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation. Ensure that all necessary ingredients, utensils, and equipment are readily available and in proper working condition. Adhere to proper food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the kitchen team, including chefs, sous chefs, and other line cooks, to ensure smooth operations and timely food delivery. Communicate effectively and proactively to ensure a seamless flow of work.

Quality Control: Consistently monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes to maintain high standards of taste, appearance, and consistency. Take appropriate measures to address any issues or discrepancies promptly.

Cleanliness and Safety: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage and handling of food, maintaining cleanliness of work areas, and following safe cooking practices. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Efficiency and Time Management: Work efficiently to meet established ticket times and ensure that orders are prepared and delivered in a timely manner. Prioritize tasks effectively and assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed during busy periods.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Line Cook in a fast-paced restaurant establishment is preferred.
• Knowledge of seafood cooking techniques and familiarity with a variety of seafood dishes.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Team player with effective communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
