Part-Time Truck Wash & Preventative Maintenance Technician
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to perform routine cleaning, greasing, and basic preventative maintenance inspections on dump trucks and heavy equipment. This position plays an important role in keeping our fleet clean, safe, and operating efficiently by identifying maintenance needs before they become larger issues.
This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling. Candidates must be available to work evenings and/or weekends, as fleet maintenance is often performed outside of regular operating hours.
Responsibilities:
- Wash and clean dump trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
- Grease trucks and equipment according to maintenance schedules.
- Check engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, and other fluid levels.
- Inspect tires for proper inflation, wear, and damage.
- Check lights, mirrors, windshield wipers, and other safety equipment.
- Inspect trucks for leaks, loose parts, or visible mechanical issues.
- Report maintenance concerns and repair needs to supervisors or mechanics.
- Maintain accurate inspection and service records.
- Keep wash bay, shop, and work areas clean and organized.
- Assist mechanics with basic maintenance tasks as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Dependable attendance and positive work ethic.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to identify common maintenance issues.
- Comfortable operating pressure washers and greasing equipment.
- Ability to follow maintenance schedules and inspection checklists.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
Schedule:
- Part-time hours.
- Evening and weekend availability required.
- Flexible scheduling based on fleet maintenance needs.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
