We are one of the largest one-stop Underground Utilities Infrastructure companies based in Singapore. We provide Underground Utilities Infrastructure construction and maintenance, sewer pipeline rehabilitation, road and airfield construction and maintenance as well as asphalt pre-mix production and construction waste recycling.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Safety Coordinator to help us minimize the risk of job-related accidents/incidents. As a safety coordinator you will monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities.

This role will require you to develop policies to promote occupational health and safety (OSH) awareness. Safety coordinators should be well-versed in all OSH dictations. Your work will be focused on prevention so you need to be diligent and analytical. You will possess a keen eye for detail and a sensitivity for potential dangers. The goal is to support the creation of a healthy and safe workplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage quality control matters and ISO compliance coordination.
  • Assist various departments with safety-related documentation such as Risk Assessments, Method \Statements, Lifting Plans, and BizSAFE certifications.
  • Deliver training on work safety and operation.
  • Perform safety inspections both on-site and in-house.
  • Coordinate site safety concerns as necessary.
  • Fulfill any additional duties or tasks delegated by management as needed.
  • Facilitate orientation training for new hires.
  • Maintain and update the department's EHS documentation.
  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by immediate superior/Head of Department.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Level B.
  • Minimum of NITEC qualification, with candidates holding a background in Engineering considered an advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a safety support role, with a strong understanding of governmental safety and health regulations/legislation.
  • Proven ability to solve practical problems and handle a range of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Experience in implementing HSE policies and associated management systems.
  • Strong skills in audit reporting, providing detailed findings with relevant preventive and corrective actions.
  • Hands-on experience in civil road works and heavy lifting.
  • Certification in Managing Work at Height and Confined Space Assessor Course.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT applications (e.g., Google Forms).

Other Information

  • Candidate should be open for 6 Days with Alternate Sunday work
  • Possession of Class 2 motorbike license or a Class 3 motor vehicle license.
