Electric Motor Technician

Stratford Electric is growing! We are looking for an experienced Electric Motor Technician to join our team. This is a general shop role; duties will vary however will mainly be to test, rebuild and repair Electric Motors, Pumps, Fans and related electrical/mechanical equipment.

**Experience with motor rewinding an asset

Accountabilities:

• Test, rebuild, refurbish and repair electric AC and DC motors , pumps, fans, reducers, etc
• Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, switches and other components
• Test, repair, replace wiring or components of electrical equipment
• Understand AC/DC motor connections and schematics
• Motor rewinding - single phase and three phase motors
• Analyze motor and related electrical equipment problems on breakdowns and make repairs to minimize downtime
• Perform other duties as required and assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Good communication skills and strong mathematic and writing skills
• 2-3 years of related industrial work experience
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Able to work independently with the ability to follow directions
• Able to lift/position heavy motor components (30-60lbs)

Pay is based on experience, to be discussed at interview

Hours of Work: 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday
