Electrical Lead

AA Euro Group has been retained by its client who are a large multi-disciplinary Engineering consultancy to recruit an Electrical Works Manager to participate as a key member of their Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Team.

The successful candidate will be based in Kilkenny working on a large Public Lighting Scheme in the area.

The Role:

• Lead and coordinate the execution of the public lighting scheme, including installation, maintenance, and upgrades of street lighting infrastructure.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring the project is delivered on schedule and within financial constraints.
• Manage the installation of electrical systems for new street lighting, including cable laying, pole installation, wiring, and connection to the electrical grid.
• Conduct safety assessments and risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
• Monitor the performance of electrical installations and make necessary adjustments to ensure energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Requirements:

• A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical works, including public lighting systems, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally in a public lighting or municipal environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, street lighting technologies, and energy-efficient lighting solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Irish local authority systems, procurement processes, and the regulatory environment for public works.
