Electrical Supervisor/Senior Electrician

Location: DunLaoghaire, Co. Dublin

Reporting to: Technical Services Manager

Hours per week: 40

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 08.00 – 16.30

Context of Role:

The Electrical Supervisor role would be an ideal next step for a qualified electrician to move up within their career in a supervisory role within the Pharmacuetical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the onsite facilities electrical team, liaising with both the Senior FM and the Technical Services Manager, managing crews of direct labour and subcontractors, ordering materials, managing Work Orders and Preventative Maintenance and ensuring the clients requirements around compliance and health and safety are met.

On the job training will be given in many aspects of the role.

Experience Required

· Must have full legal rights to work in the country. Evidence will be required

· The ideal candidate would be a fully qualified electrician (supporting documentation required).

· General knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance experience

· Previous experience within a team lead or supervisor role

· Basic computer knowledge (on the job training will be given if required)

Job Dimensions:

Practical

· Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive work on M&E Services.

· Organise/manage sub-contractors to carry out PPM’s and project work.

· Manage and supervise Electrical maintenance operatives on site.

· Issue work permits for subcontractors.

· Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements for reactive jobs and PPM’s.

· Manage near hit programme.

· Review reports from PPM’s and organise follow on work if required.

· Responsible for the day-to-day operation of electrical services in the building.

· Responsible for the planning, management, and delivery of Electrical activities.

· Support the introduction of new equipment into the facility.

· Implement and organise PPM schedule.

· Ensure the availability/reliability of equipment within required Operational, Quality, Regulatory and Audit parameters (i.e. Controlled Environment).

· Facilities Maintenance.

· Ensure the availability and reliability of all facility equipment.

· Identification of, and replacement planning for, non-supported/unreliable equipment.

· Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

· Strong focus on Continuous Improvement, H&S and root-cause fault finding.

· Adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures including health and safety requirements.

· Attend daily whiteboard meetings.

· Attend monthly client meetings.

· Assist in office moves and changes.

Customer Relations

  • Encourage good relations with all clients on contract site
  • Promptly deal with any queries or complaints
  • Promote ISS Ireland

Training

  • Partake in basic induction training for new staff
  • Partake in ongoing training from supervisor
  • Cooperate with safe working practices

HSEQ

  • Understand how ISO fits into daily business operations.
  • Read, understand and work in accordance with the company’s HSEQ Policies.
  • Complete tasks in accordance with company HSEQ procedures and work instructions
  • Ensure safe work practices and procedures are followed on site
  • Use of Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment (w/a)

Other features of the job

It may be necessary to work alternative hours, shift patterns or unsociable hours, including weekends and sometimes more than contracted hours. As part of your job, you will be expected to attend training events and/or meetings and travel to other locations may be required. Local requirements will govern your patterns and locations of work.
