Electrician / Electrical Apprenticeship

Job Description: General day-to-day electrical, fire alarm and security maintenance and installation primarily for local school board. Scheduled hours are days and some afternoon shift required.

Location: General area of service is mostly Halton.

About our Company: As a family run business, Integrity Fire and Control Systems Inc. is an electrical contractor that specializes in fire protection. We are currently seeking a electrician/ electrical apprentice to join our electrical division.

General requirements:

• Strong ability to do service work.
• Individual must have an excellent work safety record.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Works well with others and follows directions.
• Must be clean and presentable.
• Work must be detail orientated.
• Be conscious of being a good representative of our company.
• Confident with use of drills and hand tools.
• Confident use of computers, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent work safety record, conscious of a safe working environment.
• Shift Work is required.

Skills that are an asset:

• Trouble shoot electronics.
• Soldering components to circuit boards.
• Understanding of batteries and charging systems.
• Post-secondary in electrical or electronics.
• Knowledge of fire alarm and emergency lighting.
• WHIMIS, Lock-out tag-out, fall arrest, first aid are all assets.

Other requirements:

• Have a valid G level drivers license.
• Must be well organized.
• Be able to complete paperwork accurately and on time.
• Some work may require heavy lifting.
• Valid police check will be required upon hiring.
