Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Room Nurse/Med-Surg Adult Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an essential member of our facility, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in both the emergency room and medical-surgical settings. Your role will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to patients with diverse healthcare needs. This position requires a strong ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments upon admission, including physical, psychological, and social factors, to develop an individualized care plan.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures accurately and in compliance with established protocols.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic tests to identify any changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth transitions between different healthcare settings.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to actively participate in the healing process.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, trauma cases, and life-threatening situations while adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality improvement measures to promote patient well-being.
• Stay updated with current healthcare practices, trends, and advancements through continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an emergency room and medical-surgical adult care setting.
• Knowledge of emergency medical care, triage protocols, and critical care interventions.
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain composure in high-stress situations.
• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical equipment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
