Southland Hospital Outpatients covers a variety of nursing specialties. Our Enrolled Nurses deliver nursing care and health education across the lifespan to health consumers in community, residential, or hospital settings.
You will:
- contribute to nursing assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for health consumers and/or families/whānau
- assist health consumers with activities of daily living, observe changes in condition, report these to the registered nurse, administer medicines, and undertake other nursing responsibilities appropriate to your assessed competence
- work within a team in acute settings alongside registered nurses, enrolled nurses, and healthcare assistants
- be accountable for your nursing actions and practise competently in accordance with legislation and your level of knowledge and experience
- work in partnership with health consumers, families/whānau, and multidisciplinary teams.

Our ideal candidate will:
- be registered as an Enrolled Nurse under the HPCA Act 2003
- hold a current practising certificate.
