Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various flooring techniques and restoration processes. This role involves working in diverse environments, including residential and commercial settings, where you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and restoration of flooring systems. A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential.
Duties
- Perform flooring installation tasks, including tile laying, carpet installation, and hardwood flooring.
- Conduct water damage restoration services to restore affected areas.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various flooring and construction tasks.
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Execute trim carpentry and cabinet installation as needed.
- Apply caulking and perform fixture installations to ensure a polished finish.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area throughout the project.
- Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Engage in remodeling projects that may include concrete finishing or construction painting.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with completed work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in flooring installation, restoration, or related fields.
- Familiarity with construction estimating and site experience is preferred.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of construction schematics.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to flooring work.
- Knowledge of buffing techniques for floor care maintenance.
- Experience in the restoration industry is a plus, particularly with water damage scenarios.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.

Pay: $16.00 - $34.00 per hour
