At eSafety, we are pioneers in online safety regulation, leading global efforts to combat digital harms and foster safer, more positive online experiences for all Australians.

The Digital Content and Publishing team manages eSafety's digital content strategy and provides expert editorial and publishing services. eSafety.gov.au is our main vehicle for awareness raising, program delivery and user engagement. On any given day we work on a range of assets - from crafting consumer materials, to creating web pages for new research, publishing industry transparency reports, and far more.
The Assistant Editor and Publisher will play a critical role at a globally unique regulator, delivering world-first online safety advice. In this position you will collaborate with smart, passionate people to co-create website content and resources that raise awareness about online safety issues and the support available to Australians impacted by online abuse. You will use your excellent verbal and written communication skills to help subject matter experts articulate their ideas and develop and publish trauma-informed content that supports mental health and wellbeing. This vacancy is available on a non-ongoing basis. Non-ongoing roles may be offered for an initial period of up to 12 months with the possibility of extension or becoming ongoing. Suitable candidates may be placed in a merit pool from this selection process and the pool may be used to fill similar ongoing or non-ongoing roles. Applicants may have their application and assessment results shared with other Australian Public Service (APS) agencies looking to fill similar roles.
