Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team, driving the success of our projects from the initial bid to project completion. As an essential member of our team, you will leverage your expertise in construction estimating to accurately assess project costs, develop competitive bids, and support project management efforts. Your proactive approach and technical skills will ensure our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Duties

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope documents using tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid software.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to negotiate pricing, scope adjustments, and contract terms that align with project goals.
  • Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and cost analysis to ensure accurate budgeting and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in developing bid proposals by compiling all necessary cost data, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor project costs during execution to identify potential overruns early and implement effective cost control measures.
  • Review and interpret contracts, change orders, and project specifications to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements.
  • Support construction site teams by providing estimating insights related to construction management, site logistics, and safety considerations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar tools.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project management principles, and cost control strategies.
  • Hands-on construction site experience is highly desirable for accurate assessment of field conditions and resource needs.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings with precision.
  • Effective organizational skills with attention to detail in preparing estimates and managing documentation.
