ROLE PROFILE

TITLE: Estimator

REPORTING TO: Commercial Director

LOCATION: Fully Remote role with site visits as required to Irish and European sites

Start Date; September 2025

ROLE SUMMARY:

The role of the Estimator is to ensure that all projects are priced on time and to an agreed budget. Central to this role is the ability to identify, communicate and resolve anything that may have a commercial impact on the project. The role holder will also be an effective communicator up to senior levels within the Company and Client organisations.

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESULTS AREAS (KEY ACTIVITIES):

• Prepare take-offs for projects, drawings, and plans.
• Price projects, ensure agreed margins and budgets are implemented.
• Ensure best pricing is received from all materials and plant suppliers.
• Ensure Labour rates being used are in line with what is available.
• Strong understanding of roofing and cladding methods, materials, and site processes
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

· A construction related college degree Quantity Surveying preferred

· At least 7 years experience in the construction sector,

· Knowledge in roofing construction methods and practices, including safety codes and requirements

· Effective communication, supervision, and managerial skills

· Must have a high level of computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Microsoft Contract is a plus

· Excellent IT skills

· Excellent organisational skills

· Strong team player

· Current drivers licence

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €65,000.00-€80,000.00 per year
