Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Landscaping General Operative to join our team. This is a hands-on, varied role supporting all aspects of landscape construction and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set across hard and soft landscaping, take pride in their work, and be comfortable interacting with clients on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with all aspects of landscape construction, including:
- Paving and hard landscaping works
- Basic carpentry (decking, fencing, timber structures)
- Installation of garden features and finishes
- Supporting soft landscaping activities such as:
- Planting, soil preparation, and turfing
- Mulching and garden establishment
- Carrying out general garden and landscape maintenance:
- Lawn care, pruning, hedge cutting, and seasonal upkeep
- Assisting with site preparation:
- Groundworks, excavation, and material handling
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and a clean, organised site
- Working closely with team members to deliver projects efficiently and to a high standard
- Representing the company professionally when interacting with clients on-site
Required Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in landscaping or construction (minimum 3 years)
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling
- Practical knowledge of:
- Paving and general hard landscaping
- Basic carpentry and use of hand/power tools
- Planting and garden maintenance
- Ability to follow instructions and work from plans where required
- Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all conditions
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Safe and responsible approach to work practices
- Full, clean driving licence (preferred)
