Experienced Server

Job Description:

The Speak Easy Cafe, a well-established breakfast spot in downtown Peterborough for over 20 years, is seeking a dedicated and experienced server to join our team. Known for our loyal customer base and reputation as the fastest breakfast spot in town, this is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic and seasoned servers to further their career in a vibrant and beloved community cafe.

Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly and efficient service to our guests

• Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages

• Ensure a clean and organized dining area

• Handle online orders, communicate effectively with kitchen staff and drivers, and ensure that online orders are processed in a timely manner

• Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism

• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery

• Assist with setting up and closing the cafe

Requirements:

• Please note: If you do not have any experience in serving, please do not apply.

• A minimum of two years of serving experience is required, preferably in a breakfast setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays

• Knowledge of breakfast menu items and the ability to make recommendations to guests

• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
