Facilities Coordinator - Part-Time

We’re seeking a creative and capable Facilities Coordinator to join our school community on a part-time basis.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in keeping spaces safe, tidy, and running smoothly. You’ll help look after the school’s buildings, grounds, and facilities, as well as carry out a range of maintenance tasks.

About the role
You’ll play an important part in making sure our school environment is healthy, safe, and fit for learning. This includes:

• Keeping an eye on the overall condition of the site and identifying maintenance needs
• Carrying out small repairs and maintenance tasks
• Coordinating with contractors, volunteers, and our maintenance team
• Supporting working bees and helping prioritise jobs
• Following health and safety requirements and working within a maintenance budget

About you
We’re looking for someone who:

• Has practical handy-person skills and/or a trade background
• Communicates well and enjoys working with others
• Is organised and able to manage tasks independently
• Is comfortable using a computer
• Has a good understanding and is committed to following health and safety practices and compliance regulations.

Hours
This is a part-time position, around 6–10 hours per week, with some flexibility in how those hours are worked.

About us
Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School is located in Auckland’s Waitākere ranges on 29 hectares of native bush bordering the Manukau Harbour. It is a safe, peaceful and natural learning haven only minutes from vibrant Titirangi village and 30 minutes from downtown Auckland. It is the only independent Steiner School in New Zealand that offers education from playgroup to high school.

The school has a roll of around 280 students from Nursery through to Class 12 (Year 13).
