Role Overview:

The Family Outreach & Operations Coordinator is a full-time, bilingual (Spanish & English) role responsible for coordinating Raise the Bar’s family outreach while providing essential operational and administrative support across the organization and all program areas. The role supports translation, family engagement and program logistics, including caregiver communication, registration management, event preparation, and on-site operational support.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in nonprofit programs, operational support roles who is highly organized, dependable, and passionate about creating inclusive, compassionate, well-run experiences for families.

Work Expectations:

  • Location: Hybrid role with the ability to come in person between 2-3 times per week (in Camden, NJ), based on the week’s priorities. This role is expected to come to all events throughout the month.
  • Hours: Employees work approximately 8 hours Monday-Thursday and 3 hours on Fridays. Team members attend evening/weekend programs about four times per month, with half-day Fridays provided to offset this commitment.

Key Responsibilities

Spanish Translation

  • Support with all English to Spanish translation
  • Document translation—including presentations, flyers, social media
  • Real-time translation: parent meetings, phone calls, workshops, etc.

Family Outreach & Engagement

  • Conduct regular outreach to families with reminders, confirmations, and updates for all programs and events
  • Manage weekly caregiver communications in coordination with program staff
  • Maintain accurate family and participant registration information across programs
  • Serve as a point of contact for logistical questions related to programs and events

Program Operations & Event Coordination

  • Manage program and event registrations, including tracking attendance and capacity
  • Order food for programs and events and coordinate with vendors or delivery personnel as needed
  • Gather and prepare materials for programs, including shopping, printing, and supply organization
  • Provide on-site operational support during events (set-up, transitions, and clean-up)

General Administrative & Operations Support

  • Update attendance records and participant information following programs and events
  • Complete data entry and record updates to ensure accurate program tracking
  • Support basic post-event documentation and internal follow-up as needed
  • Assist with light operational tasks, including restocking water and materials and file organization

Additional Duties:

  • As a small team, we currently ask that all staff attend and support our ongoing programs, including Kids Club, Social Squad, Caregiver Nights, and Community Events.
  • Engage in professional development and leadership opportunities to improve skills.

Rates and Perks:

  • Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt (hourly)
  • Pay Rate: $18–$24 per hour, depending on experience
  • Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, depending on program needs

Experience and Qualifications

Required:

  • Age: 18+
  • Bilingual (fluent in both English & Spanish)
  • Background working with diverse populations
  • Detail-oriented with extremely strong organizational skills
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general technology skills
  • Positive, hands-on work ethic with a willingness to go above and beyond in a small team environment
  • Interest in Raise the Bar's mission

Strongly preferred:

  • Database management experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
