Fedex Package Delivery Driver

DEREK MCCOY INC. is a Contracted Service Provider for FedEx Ground and is currently seeking full time help to join our team. We are a Gold Tier Contractor in the FedEx Network and we are also 3 time Entrepreneur of the year winner. We currently service Woonsocket, Burrillville, Chepatchet, Pascoag, and North Smithfield and operate out of the Johnston, RI terminal. Company is a 7 day a week operation and weekend rotation is a must. We offer paid training, company provided uniforms, we have all brand new trucks and equipment to get the job done and benefits. We are currently hiring full time, part time, and peak season drivers.

REQUIREMENTS:

• U.S. Citizen
• Current Motor Vehicle License
• Must be 21 years of age
• Capable of lifting up to 150 pounds utilizing a company provided dolly.
• CDL not required
• Flexible schedule a must. Expect to report for work each day at 6:00-6:30 and finish when deliveries are completed. This has the potential to be 4:30 or 6:00. Each day is situational.
• Must hold a valid drivers license.

• All applicants must be an experienced driver with at least 1 full calendar year of commercial driving experience in a commercial vehicle within the last 3 years (a commercial vehicle would be considered a box truck, step van, or larger). A CDL is not required. We are not looking for CDL driving experience, such as long-haul, dump truck and we do not consider a fork-lift experience as equipment that qualifies.

C) Possess a clean MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSE (Driver's License) with no accidents or moving violations.

SKILLS :

• Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tire pressure; obtaining or scheduling required repairs; validating adherence to road-ability standards.
• Loads truck by ordering, placing, and securing items.
• Efficiently delivers items by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the truck; unloading items; and maintaining schedule. Attention to detail a must.
• Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations; cleans truck interior.
• Pleasant demeanor when serving customers. Understanding and resolving issues, or forwarding complaints.
• Flexible hours, especially during the peak Christmas season.

Pay: $750.00 - $1,000.00 per week
