FINANCE MANAGER
The Finance Manager is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with taxation and financial regulations. The Finance Manager will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial insights and analysis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and oversee financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business strategy.
- Conduct and identify gross margin and variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Accounting & Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, cash flow statements and GFFS.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards.
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and company policies.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Implement and improve internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring continuous development.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial performance.
- Lead the preparation and reconciliation of the company’s various tax returns and supporting requirements. This includes income tax returns, value added tax returns, compensation & expanded withholding tax returns, & documentary stamp tax returns.
- Calculation of annual local business taxes and coordination of its requirements to various business locations and LGUs
- Monitors and ensures compliance/registration with SEC and other government units.
- Maintains constant liaison with all other departments or strategic business units within the Group to ensure that compliance is observed down the line
- Pursue tax saving opportunities and conduct moderate to complex research & analysis for improvements.
- Maintains and tracks technical documents.
- Other tasks which the management may assign from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Has a degree in Accountancy and has passed licensure exam
- At least 3 years of experience working as Accounting or Finance Manager
- Experience/ familiarity in dealing with different government agencies/ regulatory bodies (e.g. BIR, LGUs, SEC, etc.)
- Proficient in relevant computer applications (word processing, spreadsheet, graph, database) and accounting softwares
- Reliable data entry skills; displays thoroughness and attention to detail.
