Seeking a Hospitality Controller for the Granada Theater and Sundown at Granada.
This is a five day a week position 9:30 - 6:00.
Responsibilities:
Maintain all aspects of accounting for a full service restaurant and concert venue using Restaurant 365.
Prepare and process weekly payroll for both venues, using Toast POS/Payroll.
Ensure all accounts payable are entered and paid in a timely manner.
Work closely with operations management to ensure timely and accurate weekly inventory.
Perform regular account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Perform cash account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of cash handling and deposits.
Prepare detailed weekly operations analytics.
Manage the period-end close process and ensure timely completion of financial statements.
Prepare year-end work papers for tax preparation.
Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices.
Act as the primary HR lead for both venues, ensuring compliance with employment regulations (federal, state, and local).
Manage full-cycle payroll, tip distribution, and service charge allocation.
Oversee employee onboarding, offboarding, and personnel file maintenance.
Administer PTO, sick leave, and holiday schedules in accordance with company policy.
Serve as first point of contact for employee relations, HR questions, and policy interpretation.
Partner with ownership and managers to develop and implement workplace policies, performance evaluations, and compliance documentation.
Track and report on HR metrics and labor cost percentages.
Requirements:.
5+ years experience in financial accounting in the restaurant industry.
Proven experience as a Controller or similar role.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop financial models.
Experience with Restaurant365 or other large scale accounting software, inventory management software, and POS systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task, work well in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented, proactive, motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
Knowledge of sales tax laws, as well as those applicable to tip and service charge distribution.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
Ability to prepare Financial Statements and complete bank reconciliations.
Knowledge of A/R, A/P, GL, payroll and sales taxes.
Cash handling and deposits.
Must be extremely proficient in Excel and Google spreadsheets
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 per year
