We buy tickets from fans who can’t use them and resell through leading marketplaces.

2025 projected revenue: ≈ US $8 million.

Our two core units—Chat (service-driven) and Sell Now (high-volume purchasing)—generate thousands of transactions every week. We need one person to keep our books accurate and maintain the key commercial dashboards that guide our decisions.

Why this hybrid role exists

Traditional Controllers safeguard the numbers; BI analysts surface the story behind them. We want one owner who can design the accounting architecture and keep the commercial performance metrics—revenue, margin, conversion rate, ticket velocity—up to date and trustworthy.

What you’ll do:

Financial Control (≈ 60 %)

• Build automated source-to-pay & sale-to-cash matching in QuickBooks + Google Sheets/Zapier.• Bookkeeping: daily transaction entry, reconciliations, and month-end close (accrual GAAP) for Chat, Sell Now, and consolidated P&Ls.• Maintain balance-sheet tie-outs; file sales-tax, 1099s, payroll liabilities.• Deliver weekly cash-flow & projected P&L models that include unsold inventory and unpaid payouts.

Commercial KPI Analytics (≈ 40 %)

• Design and refresh dashboards covering: – Sales & gross profit by event/department – Margin % & average order value – Offer-to-purchase conversion rate & ticket velocity• Certify data integrity by reconciling dashboard feeds with the ledger and platform exports/APIs (Ticketmaster, SeatGeek).• Send a Monday KPI pack with insights & anomaly flags.

Success metrics (first 9 months)

• 98 % of payments & deposits matched within 24 h

• Month-end close ≤ 10 calendar days

• KPI dashboard refresh < 60 min after data drop; variance vs. ledger < 0.5 %

• 100% P&L to Balance Sheet match

Must-have qualifications

• PH-licensed CPA with 7-10 years post-qualification (≥ 2 yrs Controller/Finance-Manager).

• Mastery of QuickBooks Online (class/location tracking, deferred revenue).

• Strong Google Sheets/Excel, SQL, and Zapier / Make / Apps Script automation.

• Hands-on dashboard experience (your preferred tool—no BigQuery or Looker Studio in place yet; you’ll choose and implement the stack).

• Fluent English; able to work ≥ 4 h overlap with 9 a.m.–3 p.m. U.S. Eastern.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with ticket-marketplace payout files or APIs (Ticketmaster, StubHub, SeatGeek).

• Familiarity with marketing attribution data and pricing analytics.

• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP revenue recognition for perishable inventory (events).

Compensation
