Leonardo UK Ltd. has a contract with the Ministry of Justice and Public Security for the delivery of new search‑ and‑rescue helicopters (AW101), along with associated operational and maintenance support for the Royal Norwegian Air Force.
Leonardo has an organization in Norway (LUKL Norway Branch) for the in-country activities.
To join a highly skilled and multi-disciplined organization, we are now seeking a Fleet Planner / Base Maintenance Project Manager.
About the Role
The role is instrumental in all aspect of maintenance planning and management of base maintenance projects, optimizing fleet availability.
In the daily operation the role is interacting with a variety of functional areas working closely together in the collaboration center (JAAMO) in Sola where the position also plays a key role in management of base maintenance projects.
We’re looking for the right candidate who can contribute to our continuous efforts in ensuring and developing processes and deliverables to support an advanced helicopter type and operation.
The position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
o Bachelor of Science, where formal education may be substituted by solid experience as a helicopter technician/engineer
o Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
o Planning and/or Project Management experience
o Microsoft Office software competencies, preferably Goldesp user competence
o Possess good English reading and writing skills
o Confident in communication and presentation to all levels of the organization
o Safety in mind.
Must be eligible for security clearance in accordance with military regulations.
Desirable Attributes
Self-motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Flexible and responsive to changing priorities and operational needs.
Commercially aware with attention to detail and a professional approach.
Experience within aerospace or defense environments is an advantage.
