Location: Adelaide

Employment type: Fixed term until June 2027

Salary: $35.58 per hour plus 12% superannuation (dependent on experience)

Description:
You will play a vital role in ensuring our residents have access to nutritious meals and a clean, welcoming environment while supporting them to build independent living skills. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has strong organisational skills, and is passionate about contributing to the wellbeing of women in our community.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning and preparing fresh, healthy, and culturally sensitive meals
  • Coordinating menus and maintaining food safety standards
  • Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness across shared spaces
  • Supporting residents to build independent living skills such as cooking and cleaning
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure a safe, positive, and trauma-informed environment
This is a part time, fixed term role (19 hours per week), three days per week, 10.30am - 5.30pm.

Skills and Experiences:
You will have:
  • Certificate II in Kitchen Operations and a Food Safety Certificate
  • Experience preparing nutritious meals and maintaining food safety standards
  • Strong organisational skills and reliability
  • Experience working with people with high-level needs (desirable)
  • A compassionate, trauma-informed approach when supporting residents
  • Flexibility, teamwork, and strong communication skills
You must agree to undergo any required employment screening, including but not limited to a National Criminal History or Police Check, Working with Children or Vulnerable Persons Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
