Forklift Driver / General Operative

Current Counterbalance Forklift ticket

Assist with making up orders at yard, loading our own tail lift trucks.

Loading and unloading couriers and containers at our yard.

There is a manual handling aspect to the job that you must be able for - items usually weigh 10 to 18kg. A manual handling certificate is required or you can undertake training to acquire it.

We reduce manual lifting as much as possible through use of pallet deliveries and electric pallet truck.

Keeping yard tidy, baling plastic and cardboard, breaking down timber crates for recycling etc. - wide variety of tasks to keep yard functioning well.

Good work ethic coupled with responsible attitude required.

Ability to work on your own and take initiative is expected.

Depending on your progress and following a six month probation period we would hope to offer you an increased role in the day to day management of the business with a view to effectively becoming your own boss in a long term role.

Truck licence C1 or C with CPCs and tacho card a welcome addition as would allow us to add more flexibility to the team but not necessary for the role on offer.

Pay: €16.00-€18.00 per hour
