786 Orchards Limited is hiring two Forklift Drivers, one Site Manager, and two Horticulture Leading Hands in Katikati. Position Title: Forklift Driver
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Katikati, Bay of Plenty
Pay Rate: $28 – $32 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience or Level 4 Qualification
• And Valid Forklift License

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move fruit bins and pallets safely and efficiently
• Load and unload trucks according to operational schedules
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and report mechanical issues promptly
• Assist with bin stacking and storage in designated areas
• Maintain accurate records of bin movements and inventory
• Follow orchard and packhouse safety protocols at all times
• Support logistics team during peak harvest periods
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company SOPs

Position Title: Site Manager
Number of Positions: 1
Location: Katikati, Bay of Plenty
Pay Rate: $32 – $37 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience or Level 4 Qualification

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily orchard operations including pruning, thinning, spraying, and harvesting
• Supervise and coordinate seasonal workforce across multiple blocks
• Develop and implement work plans and productivity targets
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
• Monitor crop health and report issues to management
• Maintain operational records, timesheets, and prepare performance reports
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and logistics teams for smooth operations
• Train staff on orchard practices and safety procedures
• Oversee machinery and equipment usage and maintenance schedules
• Implement cost-control measures and monitor budgets

• Assist Site Manager in planning and implementing orchard maintenance programs
• Monitor crop health, identify pests or diseases, and report issues promptly
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and orchard SOPs
• Train and mentor new staff on horticultural techniques and equipment handling
• Coordinate daily work schedules and allocate tasks efficiently
• Operate and maintain orchard machinery and tools when required
• Maintain accurate work records and assist with operational reporting
• Support irrigation, spraying, and fertilization tasks as per orchard requirements
• Implement quality control measures to maintain fruit standards
