Qualifications and Skills:
A relevant MBO or HBO degree in logistics, such as Manager Havenlogistiek (Port Logistics Manager).
2–5 years of experience in a comparable role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Job responsibilities: About the Role:
- Handle financial processes, including the preparation, verification, and invoicing of shipment files.
As a Forwarder Import/Export, you serve as a vital link between Samskip and our clients. Based in the Logistics Department, you are responsible for managing the end-to-end transportation process, from loading and shipping to final delivery, while ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate. Your role is essential in providing high-quality, professional service to our customers and maintaining strong working relationships with shipping lines, overseas offices, and transport partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage LCL and FCL (dry and reefer) import and export shipments in cooperation with internal teams and external partners, in line with customer agreements.
Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the shipment process, including bookings, documentation, invoicing, and AMS/ISF/ACI declarations, following established procedures.
Ensure timely and accurate exchange of documentation and information with other departments.
Anticipate and resolve potential transportation issues, providing proactive updates to all stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, overseas offices, shipping lines, and carriers.
