Freelance Video Editor

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team of content creators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality educational videos tailored for various platforms, including social media, YouTube, webinars, and other digital channels. This role requires a strong understanding of storytelling, visual aesthetics, and platform-specific editing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to edit engaging and educational video content.
  • Edit videos for multiple platforms, ensuring they adhere to specific platform requirements (e.g., aspect ratios, durations, and trends for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Edit and enhance webinar recordings to create polished, professional content for dissemination.
  • Incorporate graphics, animations, captions, and transitions to enhance video quality and engagement.
  • Ensure videos are visually cohesive and align with brand guidelines.
  • Edit and optimize audio, ensuring clarity and consistency across all content.
  • Manage the post-production process, including color grading, sound design, and final rendering.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and techniques to continuously improve video content.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
  • Proficiency in video editing software, such as CapCut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
  • Experience with motion graphics and animation tools like Adobe After Effects is a plus.
  • Familiarity with producing thought leadership collateral.
  • Experience with repurposing long-form video content into short-form formats.
  • Strong understanding of video storytelling techniques and pacing.
  • Knowledge of social media video trends and platform-specific requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take constructive feedback.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality content.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on educational or instructional video content.
  • Familiarity with YouTube best practices, including SEO optimization and thumbnail creation.
  • Experience working with remote teams or content creators in different time zones.
