Front Counter Staff/Cooks

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Staff member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling food and beverage orders, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, cashiering, and food safety within a dynamic restaurant setting. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Duties

• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
• Prepare and serve food items according to established standards and safety guidelines
• Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness in all work areas
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and specials to assist customers effectively
• Manage time efficiently during peak hours to serve customers promptly
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards
• Support team members in maintaining a clean and organized counter area

Skills

• Experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments preferred
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS for cashiering transactions
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and sanitation standards
• Good time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Ability to upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities
• Kitchen experience or food industry background is a plus but not mandatory
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and friendliness

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $15.57-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 12 per week
