Front Of House Team Member

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Front of House Team Member to join our dynamic team at a busy food service establishment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing food and beverage orders, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, POS systems, and customer engagement within a fast-paced restaurant setting.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
• Take customer orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
• Prepare and serve food items according to established standards, ensuring food safety and sanitation protocols are followed
• Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and giving correct change
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas by bussing tables and ensuring proper sanitation practices
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed in the kitchen or café area
• Manage time efficiently during busy periods to ensure prompt service
• Support team members in maintaining a positive, organized work environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast food restaurant preferred but not required
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and excellent communication abilities
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing, or kitchen operations is advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
• Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends or holidays if needed
