Job Description
Due to continued growth, Ocumetra is offering an exciting permanent opportunity for a fulltime Full Stack Developer to join us. The chosen candidate will be part of a team that delivers myopia care solutions providing vital decision support to eye care practitioners in this rapidly changing field of clinical practice.
Essential Functions Accountabilities
Actively participate in product definition, specification, and implementation
Design and build client-side and server-side architecture
Practice and promote effective software engineering methodologies keeping up with technological advances to optimise the software
Support and improve the organisation's software development environment
Required Skills
IT related degree/certifications or equivalent experience
At least 3 years’ experience in web application product development using a Python framework such as Flask and/or a modern Javascript framework such as React
HTML, Javascript, CSS Frameworks
Agile toolsets, i.e., JIRA and Confluence
Version control with GIT
Desirable Skills
Building REST APIs
Some exposure to relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL (PostGIS)
Previous knowledge of Docker and AWS is an advantage
Big data concept and open-source frameworks
Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment
Server-side templating, knowledge of Jinja in particular
AWS, Python Flask, REST API, HTML, Javascript, Bootstrap, CSS
