General Accountant

Purpose

We are seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented General Accountant to manage the full spectrum of accounting functions for our organization. This is an individual contributor role, ideal for someone who can manage end-to-end accounting responsibilities with minimal supervision. The role covers general accounting, financial reporting, taxation, payroll, and compliance.

Work Overview

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger and financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Handle end-to-end accounting processes including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and disbursements.
• Process payroll, government contributions, and statutory compliance (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR, etc.).
• File and manage BIR tax returns (VAT, EWT, ITR, etc.) and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Maintain and organize all accounting files and documentation for compliance and audit readiness.
• Represent the company during DOLE, BIR and Municipal audits.
• Coordinate with external parties (e.g., BIR, tax consultants, vendors, etc.) as needed.
• Assist management with financial analysis and recommendations for cost control and business decisions.
• Performs other duties within the scope of the role to support the organization's goals.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and financial reporting standards
• Proficient in accounting softwares and MS Excel
• Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
• Experience in a solo accounting setup is a plus.

Work Experience and Education Requirements

• Licensed CPA (Certified Public Accountant) – required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
• At least 2 years of solid experience in general accounting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php40,000.00 per month
