General Maintenance Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile General Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining and repairing a variety of facilities and manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in facilities maintenance, welding, and residential painting. Leadership and supervisory experience are a plus, as this position may involve overseeing maintenance projects and guiding junior staff. Candidates should be proficient in reading schematics, using tools such as ohmmeters, and working with CMMS systems. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish are essential for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools
• Conduct welding repairs and fabrication as needed to support production processes
• Manage electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components
• Execute residential painting projects for facility upgrades or renovations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities within CMMS software
• Supervise or assist with maintenance projects, providing leadership to junior technicians
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility protocols during all maintenance activities
• Assist with facilities upkeep, including plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and general repairs
• Support customer service initiatives by ensuring minimal downtime of critical equipment

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding and electrical systems
• Familiarity with schematics, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters
• Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is highly desirable
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting
• Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for work order management
• Ability to perform residential painting projects is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish to collaborate effectively with team members and management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
