General Operative

The General Operator role will be in the Production Department, working three cycle shift. Specific training will be given to the individual, but in general the duties are:

• Work at assigned workstation(s), following the correct instruction sheet to ensure the products are manufactured to specification, and to deadlines required.
• Ensure work equipment is used properly, efficiently, and effectively.
• Maintain the work area in an orderly, tidy, and safe manner.
• Work with colleagues to set up/take down machines.
• Use the company specific computer system to record work completed.
• Prepare and pack products for shipment to customers.

• Taconic is seeking applications from individuals who are technically inclined, with an aptitude for reading and understanding technical documents.
• An eye for detail is important.
• Basic knowledge of computer use would be advantageous.
• Candidates must have the ability to work as part of a flexible team, at times with minimal supervision, and must be willing to complete all tasks assigned on time.
• Leaving Certificate or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in manufacturing role; experience of working shift advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €14.25 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
