General Operative – Thermoforming (Evening Shift)

Future Plastics is a leading heavy gauge thermoforming manufacturer based in Navan, Co. Meath, supplying precision plastic components to global OEM customers in the aerospace and industrial sectors. We are currently seeking a General Operative to join our evening shift production team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in a specialised and growing manufacturing environment. Full training will be provided, with new starters completing an 8–10 week structured training programme on day shift alongside our shift supervisor before transitioning to the evening shift.

Working Monday to Thursday, 16:00–02:15, you will be responsible for operating vacuum forming thermoforming machinery to produce plastic components to the high standards demanded by our aerospace and industrial customers. You will carry out visual inspections of parts during production, complete process documentation for each work order, and ensure a thorough handover is completed at the start and end of every shift. Maintaining good housekeeping practices to minimise scrap and keep the work environment safe will be a key part of your role, as will identifying and recording any machine issues as they arise.

The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, strong written and spoken English, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A logical approach to problem solving and the ability to follow direction are essential. Previous thermoforming experience is an advantage but is not required.
