Building and scaling Leaseweb’s global Gaming infrastructure business

Why this role exists

Leaseweb is a global hybrid cloud provider delivering infrastructure solutions across bare metal, private cloud, public-cloud connectivity, and edge services. The global gaming industry is one of the most performance-critical infrastructure markets, driven by requirements for low latency, scalability, predictable performance, and global reach.

To support continued growth in this vertical, Leaseweb is hiring a Global Business Development Manager – Gaming. This role exists to drive global new-logo acquisition and pipeline development in Gaming, working closely with regional sales teams and under the direction of global business development leadership.


Key Responsibilities

As Global Business Development Manager – Gaming, you are responsible for further developing and executing Leaseweb’s global Gaming go-to-market strategy. You are accountable for identifying growth opportunities, acquiring strategic new gaming customers, supporting complex deal pursuits and enabling regional sales teams to execute consistently across markets.

You will operate at the intersection of gaming market knowledge, infrastructure understanding, and hands-on commercial execution, collaborating with Product, Marketing, and local sales teams to convert gaming workload demand into revenue.

This is a senior individual-contributor role with global scope and clear commercial accountability.

Your Impact

Gaming Market Execution & Growth:

  • Further develop and execute Leaseweb’s Gaming GTM strategy across key segments such as game studios, publishers, platforms, esports, and backend service providers.
  • Build strong understanding of gaming-specific infrastructure requirements (latency sensitivity, scalability, regional deployment).
  • Identify priority target accounts and high-potential regions in collaboration with regional sales teams.

New-Logo Acquisition & Deal Execution:

  • Identify and engage high-value gaming prospects aligned with Leaseweb’s Ideal Customer Profile.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key commercial and technical decision makers.
  • Lead or support complex, multi-region gaming infrastructure deals.
  • Act as a global coordinator for strategic gaming opportunities.

Pipeline Development & Replication:

  • Build and manage a qualified global Gaming pipeline together with local sales teams.
  • Leverage successful customer wins to support repeatable sales plays and best practices.
  • Maintain strong pipeline hygiene, reporting, and forecasting discipline.

Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration:

  • Work with existing gaming ecosystem partners (middleware, platforms, engines, service providers) to support deal execution.
  • Contribute to joint value propositions and co-selling initiatives where relevant.
  • Support Leaseweb’s positioning within the global gaming infrastructure ecosystem.

Market Feedback & Representation:

  • Participate in selected gaming industry events and customer forums.
  • Provide structured market feedback to Product, Marketing and regional sales teams to shape roadmap, messaging and differentiation.


What We’re Looking For:

  • 7–10 years of experience in enterprise business development or strategic sales, preferably within Gaming, cloud, hosting, or infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to drive new-logo acquisition and build qualified pipelines in complex B2B environments.
  • Solid understanding of IaaS and infrastructure solutions relevant to gaming workloads.
  • Experience working across multiple regions and cultures.
  • Hands-on, execution-focused mindset with strong commercial discipline.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior customer stakeholders (commercial and technical).
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Established network within the global gaming ecosystem is a strong advantage.
  • Willingness to travel globally (up to 50%).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong execution capability with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Data-driven and structured in opportunity management and forecasting.
  • Persuasive communicator with professional executive presence.
  • Passion for the Gaming industry, with the ability to act and speak publicly as a subject-matter expert (events, panels, customer sessions).
  • High ownership, resilience, and ability to operate autonomously in a global context.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Technology, or related discipline.
