The Position
Global Scientific Communications Leader

The Opportunity:

As a Global Scientific Communications Leader at Roche, you will be at the forefront of driving scientific communication strategies and shaping the future of healthcare. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • You lead a strategy for scientific content delivery across multiple channels, engaging the right audience with the right content at the right time.
  • You deliver data-supported scientific narratives to simplify and ensure consistent discussions about the disease areas in which we operate and our assets, aligning with external needs and expectations.
  • You develop tailored scientific content based on insights and subject matter expertise to meet the evolving needs of patients and healthcare professionals (HCPs).
  • You orchestrate support across the lifecycle for assigned molecules or disease areas, applying impact parameters to evaluate content value and driving strategic publications and educational initiatives in collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • You collaboratively engage with external customers and with internal partners to reflect the voice of the customer and adjust strategies, content, and channels based on insights.
  • You commit to personal growth, serving as a role model for knowledge management, continually seek opportunities to learn and innovate
  • You lead the development of the strategic scientific communications plan including leading publication planning and work with external HCPs to create and deliver medical and scientific content.
Who You Are:
  • You hold an advanced life-science degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD), ideally with experience in medical communications, medical affairs, and the bio-pharmaceutical industry.
  • You are skilled in the use of innovative methodologies to maximise the reach and impact of our scientific data in an increasingly competitive environment would be advantageous.
  • You maintain high ethical standards and act in accordance with legal, regulatory, industry, and company standards and codes of practice (including Roche Code of Conduct and publications-related standard operating procedures).
  • You demonstrate strategic agility and decision-making ability, with strong organizational, prioritization, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • You are a team player, capable of operating successfully in a matrix environment with shared responsibilities and have fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • You are curious, willing to learn and solution oriented.
