Valor 3 Services, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with an active DoD Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance to support federal government clients in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
The ideal candidate will provide high-level visual communications support within secure government environments. This position requires creativity, technical expertise, discretion, and the ability to operate within classified and controlled settings while maintaining strict adherence to security protocols.
This role supports mission-driven programs across national security, energy, defense, and federal operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality visual materials including reports, briefings, infographics, posters, brochures, presentations, and digital content.
- Provide graphics support for executive-level briefings and senior leadership communications.
- Translate complex technical or policy information into visually compelling and easily understood formats.
- Develop and maintain branding standards and visual identity guidelines.
- Prepare print-ready and digital-ready files in accordance with government standards and compliance requirements.
- Support proposal graphics and technical documentation.
- Work closely with program managers, subject matter experts, and senior leadership to meet project objectives.
- Ensure all materials comply with security classification requirements and internal review processes.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Maintain organized file management within secure systems.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance or DOE Q Clearance (current and verifiable).
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, English, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably supporting federal agencies or government contractors.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Word for executive-level briefings and technical documentation.
- Experience designing high-impact executive presentations, reports, infographics, and digital and print communications materials.
- Familiarity with Canva, WordPress, and Microsoft SharePoint for content development, collaboration, and web updates.
- Strong layout, typography, and visual storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, visually compelling formats.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in secure government facilities within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
- Strong attention to detail, professional discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive or classified information in accordance with security requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting DoD, DOE, NNSA, DHS, or other national security agencies.
- Experience working within secure or classified environments.
- Understanding of document marking requirements, including CUI and classified headers/footers.
- Experience supporting executive leadership, SES-level officials, or senior government personnel.
- Knowledge of Section 508 compliance and accessibility standards.
- Experience supporting federal proposal development, including RFP and RFI responses.
- Familiarity with SharePoint and other content management systems.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, including development of professional graphics aligned with corporate branding standards.
- Basic understanding of branding strategy and marketing principles.
- Photography or multimedia experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
