Grounds & General Maintenance Role

Job Summary
The role involves maintaining airfield and land areas, as well as providing general maintenance support across various facilities. The successful candidate will perform, other handyman duties, ensuring the site remains safe, tidy, and functional.

Key Tasks

Airfield and Land Maintenance:

· Cutting grass and vegetation using tractors, ride-on lawnmowers, and push lawnmowers

· Strimming grass in hard-to-reach areas

· Spraying herbicides or fertilizers as required

General Maintenance:

· Carpentry tasks, including repairs and small building projects

· Plumbing maintenance and repairs

· Painting and decorating work

· Ad-hoc handyman duties as needed to support site operations

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

· Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative

· Able to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision

· Practical with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Must-Have Qualifications, experience and licenses:

· Minimum of 5 years working in a general maintenance role or a relevant trade background

· Tractor license

· Quad license

· Valid car driving license

· Spraying licence

· Enhanced Garda clearance

Additional Details:

Contract duration: Permanent with 6 months probation

Hours: 39 hours per week

Schedule: Typically Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM, but flexibility required depending on the needs of the company. Start and finish times may vary (later start or finish). Occasional weekend work versus weekdays

Expected Salary Range: Depending on experience and trade skills.
