Guest Services Agent

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Guest Service Agent to join our hospitality team at Holiday Inn Express - Candlewood Suites West Edmonton Mall Area. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming experience from check-in to check-out. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to handle guest inquiries efficiently. Prior hotel or front desk experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Guest Service Agent plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our hospitality services and creating memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, take reservations, and provide information
  • Handle guest requests promptly and professionally, ensuring their needs are met efficiently
  • Provide accurate information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
  • Maintain accurate records of guest information and reservations using hotel management software
  • Address guest concerns or complaints with tact and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Uphold front desk procedures and hotel policies to ensure safety and security for all guests

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Strong phone etiquette and communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Multilingual or bilingual proficiency is highly desirable to serve diverse guests
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations preferred
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and guest service best practices is a plus
  • Ability to handle guest inquiries with professionalism, patience, and empathy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently

Hours may vary, however flexible to meet your needs. We are hiring both part time and full time employees at this time.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 48 per week

Work Location: In person
